Four teenagers arrested on suspicion of murdering a 53-year-old man in Edmonton last year have been released without charge.

Christopher John Barry, also known as Jack Barry, was stabbed to death on December 14, 2014 following an alleged altercation with a group of males said to be trying to get into a block of flats in The Broadway, Edmonton.

Four boys, three aged 14 and one aged 13, were all arrested at the time of the incident, have now all been released without charge of murder.

One of the 14-year-olds was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon for which he has been rebailed to a date in March.

Another 13-year-old boy appeared at the Old Bailey on Friday, December 19, charged with the murder of Mr Barry.

He will reappear in court for plea and case management hearing at the Old Bailey on March 6.
