Teenagers hope to have united a community after laying on a host of events at a park.
Enfield Scouts brought people together at Ponders End Park, as part of its One Enfield project.
Bollywood Dancing by Winchmore School’s Bollywood Dance Group, dhol drumming and singing from Explorer Scout Jason Healey, helped to entertain the crowds along with a host of games and sideshows for families.
Henna tattoo artists and face painters raised money for victims of the earthquake in Nepal.
Enfield Scout Jack Abrey, 18, who is chairman of the Scout Association’s UK Community Impact Group, said: “It was a terrific event, good weather and lots of different cultures sharing in the fun."
Aidan Broomfield, 16, who led the project, added: “It was great to see so many people come together to have a good time. We hope there are more events like this to make our community stronger. Thank you to everyone who came, either to help or just to enjoy themselves.”
Kiera Whitbread and Tabitha Fuster enjoyed the community event, praising the work done by Enfield scouts and the variety of groups who attended the event.
Enfield district commissioner Paul Symons said: “This has been a great example of scouts working for the community, something they have done since 1907. I’m very proud of the young people that came up with the One Enfield idea and organised this event.”
