A group is holding a winter fair to encourage elderly people to keep active even in their later years.

The Enfield over 50s forum’s Winter Fair is being held at Enfield County School, Silver Street, on Friday February 19.

Over 20 stalls will be showing off a range of activities, from Zumba and Indian head massage, to bowls, knitting and rambling.

The forum is also inviting anyone struggling to heat their homes to meet the national Warm Homes Campaign team.

They claim around 13,000 low-income Enfield families are living in fuel poverty households - meaning they spend too much of their income on fuel bills – which is the sixth-highest in London.

Admission to the Winter Fair is free, and a free lunch and raffle will be provided.
