Plans for a new primary school in Chase Farm have been given the green light.
Lime Academy Ridgeway is set to open in September 2017 after plans for the Enfield school and nursery, submitted to the Department for Education in March, were one of 31 final primaries to be approved by David Cameron.
Claire Keefe, business manager for the Lime Trust, said they will work closely with Enfield Council on admissions and the designing and building of the school, and promised they will be holding open community events over the next few months.
She said: “The next 12 months are going to be incredibly busy and we are really looking forward to meeting parents, carers and members of the local community and developing the school to become a hub of the community.”
The Lime Trust say they are aiming to welcome 90 Reception year pupils in 2017, and to have three form classes per year group.
