Enfield fire station will host a public open day next week to celebrate the brigade’s 150th anniversary.

The fire station, in Carterhatch Lane, opens its doors between 12pm and 5pm on Saturday, September 3, with free entry.

There will be a demonstrations showing how they help get car crash victims out of wreckage, and rescue people from fire in high rise buildings.

Refreshments will also be on sale, with all proceeds being donated to charity.
