Lloyd O'Connor has left London Skolars to join South Wales Scorpions for the remainder of the 2014 season.
The 27-year-old hooker has previously played for Celtic Crusaders and has also turned out for union sides Maesteg, Aberavon and Bridgend.
Reflecting on his move, O'Connor told the club's website: "I'm really looking forward to finishing the season with South Wales Scorpions. I'm back in Wales permanently due to transferring my job back to Cardiff from London and I'm looking forward to joining the team and working hard.
"Being from Maesteg and starting my rugby career with Maesteg RFC, I'm delighted that this is now the South Wales Scorpions' home venue."
As part of the deal, the Welshman cannot play in the game between the Scorpions and Skolars at Cardiff Arms Park next week.
