First-timer Thomas Lau won the Grovelands Parkrun on Saturday, finishing three seconds ahead of his nearest competitor.

A time of 19.15 was enough to see Lau mark his first attempt at the Enfield course with victory, whilst Ben Beckwith came second in 19.18.

In third place was Tony Clare, who set a new personal best by completing the course in 19.26. Clare’s time represented an improvement of 13 second on his previous best, set in September.

For the women, Megan Molloy came home first – finishing 19th overall – in a time of 23.25.

Elaine Pitter was the second female across the line in a time of 23.55, whilst Jan Hickman came third – 28th overall – in 24.08.
