Enfield battled to a four-wicket win at Brondesbury in their Middlesex Cricket League Division Two match on Saturday.

After winning the toss, Enfield opted to put their opponents into bat and it paid off as Brondesbury were dismissed for 188 in 50.2 overs.

Mid-table Enfield had a few obstacles along the way but ultimately reached the target for the loss of six wickets in 48.5 overs.

The side entertain Hornsey in their next league game on Saturday.

The Seconds picked up a winning draw against Uxbridge in the Seconds' Division Two.

Enfield won the toss and field first but Uxbridge impressed with the bat hitting 280 all out from 54.1 overs.

In reply, Enfield reached 244 for five off 45 overs as the contest finished in a draw.

Winchmore Hill slumped to a seven-wicket defeat against South Hampstead in Division Three.

The team won the toss and opted to bat first but the decision backfired as they were dismissed for just 127 in 40 overs.

Morgan Prior hit 16 while Charlie Holmes was the side's top scorer with 65 before he was run out. Delarey Terblanche added 13 but the rest of the side misfired leaving Hampstead in a strong position.

Winchmore Hill were up against it after their lowly total and South Hampstead made short work of the case reaching the target for the loss of three wickets in just 24.5 overs. Danny Barker took the opening wicket while James Geoghegan finished on one for 30 but the team were well beaten.

Winchmore Hill Seconds claimed a six-wicket win over Shepherds Bush in the Seconds' Division Two.

Shepherds Bush were put into bat and finished on 225 for seven from their innings. In reply, Winchmore Hill reached the target for the loss of four wickets in 47 overs.

Winchmore Hill Thirds suffered a 100-run defeat to Wycombe House in the Thirds' Division Three.

Wycombe House were put into bat and managed to score a total of 241 all out from 49 overs.

Winchmore Hill struggled in response and fell 100 runs short as they were skittled out for 141 in 34.4 overs.

Botany Bay suffered a 56-run defeat to Flitwick in their Herts Championship clash.

After winning the toss, Botany Bay opted to field first and restricted their opponents to 165 all out in 55 overs.

Greg Harris was the pick of the bowlers returning figures of three for 39 and Darren James came away with three for 58. Tim Richards took two for 28 while Andrew Knight and Tony Sayers each came away with one wicket apiece.

But the hard work with the ball in hand was not taking advantage of as Botany Bay were all out for 109 in 29 overs.

Dan Kastelik top scored on 38 but the only other players to reach double figures were Paul Summershill (11) and Sayers (10).

Botany Bay Seconds lost to Northwood Seconds by four wickets in Division Six A.

The side were dismissed for 190 with Mark Couzens hitting 70. But Botany Bay were unable to stop Northwood from reaching the target for the loss of six wickets.

In Division Ten, Botany Bay Thurds eased to a six-wicket win over Preston Thirds.

Preston were skittled out for 192 and Botany Bay knocked off the target for the loss of four wickets in 40.4 overs.

Holtwhites Trinibis fell to a seven wicket defeat to Ickleford in Herts Division Two.

The side batted first but could only muster 157 all out from 51.3 overs. Ickleford had few problems chasing down the target for the loss of three wickets in 33 overs.

In Division Six B, Holtwhites Trinibis Seconds edged to a two-wicket win over Abbots Langley Seconds.

Their opponents scored 184 for nine from their innings. The match hung in the balance but Holtwhites managed to squeeze home with two wickets to spare after 42.3 overs.

But Holtwhites Trinbis Thirds were beaten by two wickets by Hatfield & Crusaders Thirds in Division Ten A.

The side could only manage a total of 174 from their innings which looked on the short side. Michael Davie was in excellent form taking six wickets but it was not enough as Hatfield & Crusaders finished on 175 for eight from 45 overs.

North Enfield lost by seven runs to Wheathampstead in Division Three A.

Wheathampstead were dismissed for 180 but North Enfield fell agonisingly short as they were bowled out for 173.

North Enfield Seconds lost to Hexton by four wickets in Division Six B.

The side batted first and could only score 170 for seven from their innings. Hexton reached the target with plenty to spare off 33.4 overs.
