Despite mounting speculation to the contrary, Manchester United have not yet approached Tottenham Hotspur about a move for striker Harry Kane, according to Sky Sports News.
The Red Devils appear to be on the lookout for a new striker this summer, having turned down the option to sign Radamel Falcao.
Bets were also suspended on Robin van Persie moving to Turkish club Fenerbahce this weekend. Some reports suggested they had already made a bid of up to £40 million for the PFA Young Player of the Year.
Kane attempted to distance himself from the reports before the Under-21 European Championships last month, but United retain an unofficial interest in the player, who was the highest scoring Englishman in the Premier League last season.
