After two seasons and just seven goals, Tottenham Hotspur’s Roberto Soldado could soon be offered a route out of his north London nightmare – according to the Daily Mirror.
The Spanish striker arrived in London following a mightily impressive season at Valencia which saw him net a total of 30 goals in all competitions, and his club record £26 million fee appeared to have been money well spent.
After his second utterly unimpressive season at White Hart Lane, however, Soldado appears to be nearing a move back to Spain as rumours of an £11 million bid from Villareal CF have recently gathered steam.
Thus, facing the prospect of losing £15 million on the forward, Spurs look set to offload the fourth of seven players who were signed in the club’s post-Gareth Bale transfer splurge two summers ago.
