Botany Bay eased to a five-wicket win over Totteridge Millhillians in the Herts Championship.

Totteridge chose to bat first and scored 171 all out. Shaun O’Brien top scored with 50 and Chris Mason added 39. Andrew Knight picked up four for 25.

In reply, Botany Bay reached the target for the loss of five wickets with opener Ben Howgego hitting 61. John Emburey took two for 28 for Totteridge Millhillians.

North Enfield suffered a two-wicket defeat to Hatfield Hyde in Division Three A on Saturday.

The team batted first but struggled to a total of 107 all out in 31.2 overs. Hatfield made hard work of chasing down this score but eventually won for the loss of eight wickets in 45 overs.

Holtwhites Trinibis suffered their third consecutive Division Two A defeat after a comprehensive 201-run loss to Old Owens.

Their opponents were in ruthless form with the bat as they reached 272 for eight in 50 overs. Holtwhites failed to muster a decent response and crumbled to 71 all out in just 28.2 overs.

In Division Six B, Holtwhites Trinibis Seconds suffered a five-wicket defeat to Old Haberdashers.

The team scored a total of 169 all out in 46.3 overs. In reply, Old Habs had few problems chasing down the score for the loss of five wickets in 38.3 overs.

Holtwhites Trinibis Thirds slumped to an eight-wicket defeat to West Herts Thirds in Division Ten A.

The team’s batting got off to a very poor start with just six runs from the opening five batsmen.

Dilan Maisuria scored 23 but the extras were the next best with 12 as the Holtwhites slumped to a dismal 42 all out in 20.4 overs.

West Herts coasted to victory in 15 overs for the loss of two wickets.
