Corey Whitely fired the Towners into the next round of the competition
Enfield Town edged to a 1-0 win over Cheshunt in the second round of the League Cup Trophy last night.
Bradley Quinton's side had to wait patiently until midway through the second half for the goal which sent them through.
Corey Whitely struck the winning goal when he spun round and smashed a superb strike into the top corner.
The Towners will travel to either Needham Market or Brightlingsea Regent in the third round in the week commencing November 23.
Enfield's next match is a home game against Hitchin Town in the FA Cup this Saturday.
