Enfield boxer Frank Buglioni will have the chance to win the British light-heavyweight title when he challenges Hosea Burton in September.

Promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed champion Burton will make the first defence of his title in Manchester on the undercard of Anthony Crolla’s WBA world lightweight title fight against Jorge Linares.

Burton defeated Miles Shinkwin for the vacant belt in February and has since had two non-title bouts ahead of his next fight.

‘Wise Guy’ Buglioni lost his WBA super-middleweight world title fight against Fedor Chudinov last summer and has opted to step up in weight as he bids to land the British title.

The popular 27-year-old has a record of 18 wins from his 21 professional bouts.

His last fight came in March when he stopped Olegs Fedotovs in the first round at Wembley Arena.

Buglioni tweeted: “#TeamWiseGuy we got a road trip to Manchester! 24th of September, we will take the British Title!!”
