The Great Britain’s women’s 4x100m relay won a place in the final which will take place on Saturday, August 20 at Rio 2016.
Asha Philip, Enfield and Harringey’s Athletics club Desiree Henry, Dina Asher Smith and Daryll Neita finished second quickest behind Jamaica in a time of 41.93 seconds.
The men had to qualify as the fastest loser as the team of Richard Kilty, Harry Aikines, James Ellington and Enfield’s CJ Ujah finished fourth in their heat in a time of 38.06.
This was 0.01 seconds behind the time of Great Britain at Athens 2004 where they went onto win the gold medal.
Both finals will take place at 00:45am BST.
