Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane, Deli Alli, Eric Dier, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose all featured for England, as the Three Lions snatched a last gasp victory over Wales.

Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge scored the winner in the second-minute of added time to secure a 2-1 victory for England, in what was their first win of Euro 2016.

Kane was substituted at half-time for Jamie Vardy after another disappointing display from Spurs’ top scorer, who struggled to get into the game.

Dier, Walker, Rose and Alli all played the full 90 minutes for the Three Lions, with the latter playing a part in England’s winner, as he back-heeled the ball into the path of Sturridge.

Tottenham’s Ben Davies also featured during the game, as he was part of Wales’ five-man defence.

Gareth Bale had put Chris Coleman’s men in front at half-time, as his dipping free-kick was too hot for Joe Hart to handle.

England manager Roy Hodgson threw on Sturridge and Vardy for Kane and Raheem Sterling after the restart and the Three Lions were on level terms 11 minutes after the break.

Ashley Williams’ header from an England corner fell into the path of Vardy, who calmly stabbed home from close-range to put Roy Hodgson’s men back in the match.

The Three Lions struggled to break down Wales’ resilient defence, but they found a winner later on as good interplay involving Alli amongst others sent Sturridge into the penalty area and the Liverpool striker showed great feet before prodding the ball past Wayne Hennessey.

The result puts England top of Group B with one group game to play against Slovakia at 8pm on Monday.
